From the Bench Column runs three repair cases this month under the heading “From the bench, June 2026,” each spread across three columns: what came in, what actually failed, and the lesson. The counterfeit case lands hardest: “We fixed the zipper anyway and told them what they had. Honest people deserve the truth and a working bag.” The footer credits the bench directly and keeps the dog in.
Cases are one array, fields a second const tuple that drives the three column labels. The honest counterfeit case is the credibility load bearing row.
Reach for this block as the editorial centrepiece of the journal, between the brand story and the repair pitch. The bench writes it, so the copy must reflect actual jobs from that month, not evergreen filler.

One strong use is the three case monthly column. Other bench editions:
Tip: the counterfeit handled honestly and the dog staying in both do the same job, they signal the column is unedited enough to be worth reading.
