About this block

Customs Paperwork Explainer walks the declaration form field by field: contents named plainly, declared value matching the invoice to the dollar, the HS code looked up not guessed, category always merchandise. The centerpiece is a card that names the favor most international buyers ask for and declines it: marking a box as a $20 gift is customs fraud, it voids the insurance, and the fine lands on the buyer. Said with sympathy, every time.

The four declaration rows are one array. The refusal card below it is the credibility of the block, it cannot be softened without breaking the argument.

When to use

Reach for this block on the international shipping page, after the duties and tax estimate. The checkout collection note in the footer must only appear if the carrier integration actually collects duties at checkout.

A natural flow around it on an Ecommerce Pro page:

What you can display

One strong use is the four field declaration with the gift refusal. Other explainer configurations:

• Returns customs form. The outbound declaration for return parcels and who pays the duty.
• High value goods. The same rows with the additional insurance declaration field shown.
• Restricted categories. Which contents descriptions flag inspections and which clear.

Tip: publishing the HS code alongside the plain contents description turns an opaque form into something the buyer can verify, which is the entire point of the block.
