About this block

Preferences First Signup asks what you actually want before it knows who you are. Three topics rendered as static checkboxes in a ruled list, drops and restocks, the monthly letter, and care reminders, arrive before the email field. The lede names the genre default this block exists against: “Consent that specific never needs an unsubscribe apology.” The footer closes the loop: untick everything and we simply stop.

Topics are one array, each with a name, a note, and a default checked state. The care reminders topic ships unchecked, which is the honesty in the arrangement.

When to use

Reach for this block at the foot of the store hero or as a standalone panel in a promo section. The notes under each topic must state the real cadence or the promise is empty.

What you can display

One strong use is the three topic pre select. Other preference setups:

• Two topic minimum. Drops only plus the letter, for stores with a small email program.
• Product care only. A single checkbox for buyers who want reminders and nothing else.
• Post purchase. The same form after checkout, pre checked to the product category just bought.

Tip: the unchecked topic is the signal, it shows the list does not assume, which is what makes the checked ones believable.
