About this block

Old Vs New Generation compares the v2 against the v1 in six rows that include the unchanged, canvas, straps, hardware, same, no reason to touch them, and prices the changes honestly, the doubled base costs 60 g. The boxed verdict tells most v1 owners not to upgrade, offers the v2 fix retrofitted at the bench for $25, and routes the genuine upgraders through trade in.

Rows are one array. No, mostly as the upgrade answer is what makes the v2 launch credible to the installed base.

When to use

Reach for this block at a generation change, linked from both product pages and the last chance listing of the outgoing v1. The retrofit offer must be a real bench service.

What you can display

One strong use is the generation change. Other versions:

• Three generations. The longer lineage for a flagship with history.
• Ours vs theirs. The competitor comparison, harder to do honestly, name real trade offs.
• Materials change. The same canvas in old and new weights when a mill changes.

Tip: listing what deliberately did not change earns the changes their weight, a v2 that touches everything reads as a redesign, not an improvement.
