Order for Someone Else Step is step 2 of 3 in the checkout, collecting the recipient address and phone while the buyer pays. The email routing panel names every system message and who gets it: confirmation and receipt go to you, tracking goes to you by default with a toggle described for the review step, the review request goes to nobody because gifted orders are exempt. The gift flag consequences are a checklist: prices off the packing slip, the wrap option appearing at review, and the return QR converting to store credit so what you paid never reaches the recipient.
Email routing and gift flag changes are two separate arrays. The phone field carries the critical note: “the courier needs their number, not yours, yours cannot answer their door when the van is outside.”
Reach for this block as the dedicated address step in a gifting checkout flow, after the cart with gift split confirms intent. The tracking toggle described in the email routing panel must be wired to a real review step for the description to be honest.

Tip: listing every email the system will send, and to whom, before the payment step is the full disclosure move buyers wish every store made.
