Notification Preferences Panel renders four topics in a ruled grid with email and SMS columns: order updates locked on with the reason printed (the law and common sense agree on this one), restock alerts only for items you watch, the monthly letter at twelve a year written by a person, and product launches at four to six a year, never more. A note below the grid confirms the honest defaults: marketing rows start unchecked and stay that way until you touch them, we never flip a default in an update.
Topics are one array, channels a const tuple of two. The locked row with its printed reason is the credibility anchor of the block.
Reach for this block in the notifications tab of account sections. The save must write to the actual preferences store; queued sends are affected immediately per the footer copy.

Tip: printing the restock alert rule (the alert deletes the watch) inside the note column removes the fear of being trapped in an alert loop.
