A horizontal carousel of blog cards that scrolls sideways. Use it to preview recent posts in a tidy row without taking up much vertical space.
Horizontal Blog Carousel opens with a section heading and a short descriptor line, then presents your posts in a single scrolling row of cards. Each card carries a cover image in a fixed 4:3 ratio, a date and category label, a two-line clamped title, a two-line excerpt, and a ghost "Read more" button. Previous and Next arrow buttons sit below the right edge of the carousel for keyboard and pointer navigation.
The heading copy, descriptor, and every post field are straightforward to swap out. The number of posts is flexible: add or remove entries from the array and the carousel adjusts. The category labels and dates are plain strings, so you can rename or reformat them freely without touching layout.
Reach for this block when you want to surface recent writing on a page that already has other content and cannot spare the vertical room a full grid would need. It fits well on the homepage of an AI assistant product where the team publishes articles on prompting techniques, model updates, and research notes, and wants visitors to discover that writing without leaving the main page. Compared to the Grid Blog Cards layout, this block shows more posts at once on wide screens while staying compact in height.
A natural flow around it on a Portfolio page:

The block suits any collection of short-form writing where a cover image and a two-line excerpt are enough to earn a click. A few directions to consider:
Tip: keep cover images consistent in subject tone so the row reads as a cohesive set rather than a random mix when multiple cards are visible.
