Featured Article List opens with a section heading and a short descriptor line, then drops into a three-column grid. The left two columns hold the featured card: a wide 16:9 cover image, a date and category row, a large title, a full excerpt, and a "Read Article" button. The right column is a stacked sidebar titled "Recent Articles" that lists three posts, each with a small square thumbnail, title link, date, and category. A "View All Posts" button closes the sidebar.
Every piece of copy is independent. You can swap the featured post and each sidebar entry without touching layout. The sidebar list can grow or shrink, and the section heading and descriptor are plain strings you can rewrite freely.
Reach for this block on a writing index page where you want to give one post meaningful weight while still showing what else is available. For a creative agency or studio blog, it signals editorial confidence: the big card says "this is our thinking at its best" while the sidebar reassures visitors that output is consistent. It works better than a uniform grid when you have a flagship post worth promoting, and better than a carousel when you want the sidebar to stay visible without interaction.
