Writing Hero opens a two-column split: the left holds the writer identity heading (Jordan Lee. Writer on culture and technology.), a lede that stakes the practice (No brand content, no SEO, no ghostwriting), and a four-row ruled meta list covering location, beat, years active, and publications including The Atlantic and Wired. The right holds a featured piece card, The Paragraph Nobody Edits from The Atavist Magazine, with an excerpt, date, and read time.
The meta list and featured card are separate data objects. The ruled meta list is the distinctive detail, it puts the practical facts a commissioning editor wants in one glance rather than scattering them across bio paragraphs.
Reach for this block as the opening section of a writing portfolio, used as the hero without a separate hero block above it. The installer swaps the writer name, beat, publications list, and featured piece for their own work.

Tip: the lede line that names what you do not do (no brand content, no SEO, no ghostwriting) signals the kind of brief you will accept and filters visitors before they reach out.
