About this block

Featured Video gives one piece its own moment: a full-width Placeholder frame at aspect-video with a large centred play button and a duration badge, then below it a two-column panel with the title, client line, and description on the left, and a credits ruled list on the right. The piece is Vault Brand Identity Film for Vault Financial, 2025, 1:42. The description names the brief and the creative constraint, communicate trust without cliche, and explains the formal decision, the sequence built around the rhythm of a ledger. Credits list Director, Production, Music, and Colour grade.

The credits are one array rendered as a ruled definition list. Naming the creative constraint in the description is the distinctive detail: it makes the block read as directorial intent, not promotion copy.

When to use

Reach for this block as the lead section of a case study page for a single video piece, or as the hero of a motion portfolio. The installer swaps the video metadata, description, and credits for their own piece.

A natural flow around it on a Portfolio Pro page:

• Reel grid

After

• Process steps

What you can display

One strong use is a brand film feature with a full credits panel. Other featured-video applications:

• Documentary feature. A long-form piece with a director statement in the description field.
• Product demo spotlight. A software walkthrough with the screen recording duration and version noted.
• Self-directed short. A personal project with Self-directed in the client field and a clear brief.

Tip: state the creative constraint in the description; it separates a director portfolio from a highlight reel.
