About this block

Keynote Feature spotlights one signature talk in a two column layout: the left column carries the title, abstract, a venue history in a ruled list, and a watch link; the right column is a Placeholder in portrait format. The talk is Designing for the gap between intent and action, a 45-minute keynote delivered at Config 2025, UX London, An Event Apart Denver, and Leading Design Berlin. The abstract opens with a real incident: a health app that failed silently at the worst moment.

Venues are one array in a ruled list, each row naming the conference and year in tabular-nums. The incident-first opening in the abstract is the distinctive detail, it treats visitors like attendees rather than prospects.

When to use

Reach for this block as the signature-talk section of a speaker homepage or the lead section of a talks page. The installer swaps the talk title, abstract, venue rows, and watch link for their own keynote, keeping the incident or opening hook genuine.

A natural flow around it on a Portfolio Pro page:

Before

• Speaker stats
• Hero section

After

• Talks list
• Upcoming events

What you can display

One strong use is the signature-keynote feature. Other highlight layouts:

• Workshop feature. A half-day session highlighted with a curriculum outline in place of the abstract.
• Panel highlight. A recurring panel topic with co-panelist names in the venue rows.
• Most recent talk. Auto-swapped to whichever talk was delivered most recently, driven by the dates array.

Tip: the venue list anchors the talk in reality, four named conferences and years beats any claim about reach.
