Year Badge Card

About this block

Year Badge Card shows four projects as thumbnail tiles, each with a pill chip anchored to the top-right corner of the image marking the year, then the project name, client type, and role below. The chips read 2025, 2024, 2024, 2023 at a glance so a visitor can place the work in time without scanning the text.

Projects are one array. The year chip is the distinctive detail, it does the dating job at the image level so the text block stays clean and role-forward.

When to use

Reach for this block as the selected work section of a homepage or a standalone work page where recency matters. The installer swaps the Placeholder tiles for real project images and keeps the year chip accurate.

What you can display

One strong use is the dated selected-work grid. Other project-card layouts:

• Recent only. Filter to one year and lead with that year chip as context for a focused portfolio.
• Role emphasis. Drop the client type and use the chip to show the engagement type instead of the year.
• Mixed media. Alternate aspect ratios in the grid for a more editorial feel.

Tip: the year chip earns its place when the work spans three or more years, it tells the story of growth without a timeline section.
