About this block

Availability Hero names Riley Parker, freelance product designer, states the working constraint (two projects at a time so each one gets full attention), then gives the availability callout its own card: current availability, 1 slot open from September, with the engagement shape below it (projects typically run eight to twelve weeks). A single get-in-touch action lives inside the card so the call to action is attached to the information that motivates it.

The callout card is the distinctive choice: raising availability to a primary block element, rather than a footnote fact, turns the hero into an active hire-me instead of a passive introduction.

When to use

Reach for this block when the primary goal of the homepage is generating inbound project enquiries. The installer updates the name, the opening month, the slot count, and the typical engagement length to match their current situation.

A natural flow around it on a Portfolio Pro page:

What you can display

One strong use is the freelance booking opener. Other availability shapes:

• Fully booked state. The callout card says next opening is Q1 next year, with a wait-list action.
• Open retainer. The card names an ongoing support offer rather than a project slot.
• Studio version. We language with a team capacity figure instead of a single slot count.

Tip: name the typical engagement length alongside the opening month; it filters out work that does not fit before the first email arrives.
