About this block

Compact History lists five roles as tight ruled rows, each row showing company name, title, and period on one line, company bold and period right-aligned in tabular-nums. The lede frames the span plainly: five roles across a decade, from internship to lead, agency, studio, and in-house.

Roles are one array. The year range in tabular-nums is the distinctive choice; the uniform row height lets a reader scan a full career in seconds without a wall of prose.

When to use

Reach for this block as the experience section of a resume-style page or anywhere the work history needs to sit compactly beside other sections. The installer swaps the five roles, companies, titles, and periods for their own career; the lede should update to match the real span.

What you can display

One strong use is the full career timeline in condensed form. Other experience layouts:

• Highlights band. Just the standout moments without the full chronology, for a shorter above-the-fold read.
• Resume CV. The same data with added bullet points below each role for practitioners with more to say.
• Consulting history. Clients instead of employers, years and project type instead of title.

Tip: list jobs oldest-to-newest or newest-to-oldest and make the lede match; mixing the order confuses a reader scanning for seniority.
