About this block

Rate Limited 429 turns the grumpiest HTTP status into a page that informs instead of scolds. The mono 429 sits above a headline with some humor, the body makes the two guarantees that matter, nothing broke, nothing dropped silently, and a clock card shows the exact retry window. The footer offers the human path, free limit raises for migrations and launches.

A static page block, wire the seconds to the Retry-After header when rendering it live.

When to use

Reach for this block as the rendered page for dashboard rate limiting, paired with the rate limits table it links to. The tone works because the page is rare, if users see it daily, fix the limits before polishing the copy.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing Pro page:

Before

• Nothing, error pages stand alone

After

• Nothing, though the docs link should land on the rate limits reference

What you can display

One strong use is the dashboard 429 with a live countdown. Other variants:

• API HTML fallback. The page a browser hitting the API sees.
• Trial throttle. The gentler version for free tier ceilings.
• Abuse wall. The firmer version when protection kicked in, still blameless.

Tip: declined, not dropped silently is the sentence developers need, it tells them their queue is safe to retry.
