About this block

Day In The Life sells the product as a calendar. Five timestamped moments run down a rule, each a small scene, the report that built itself, the budget call without the argument, leaving with an empty queue, and most scenes carry a quiet before, the old version of this hour was a spreadsheet. The lede states the method, features describe software, a workday describes a life.

The moments are one array of time, title, and text. Write scenes, not capabilities, every moment should contain one human detail, coffee, lunch, leaving on time, because the humanity is what the format buys you over a feature list.

When to use

Reach for this block when your product changes someone workweek texture rather than adding a capability, automation, consolidation, and workflow products. It narrates what stats-comparison-columns tabulates, and the two work well on the same page, story here, arithmetic there.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing Pro page:

Before

• Heroes promising the outcome this day dramatizes

After

• Stats totaling the hours the day implies
• Testimonials from the customers living this Tuesday

What you can display

One strong use is the marketer workday after switching. Other days:

• The on call day. A quiet pager day for infrastructure products, where nothing happening is the story.
• The agency day. A client day with handoffs and approvals dissolved.
• The launch day. Hour by hour of a release using your product, for devtools.

Tip: end the day at a humane hour, leaving at 16:45 with the queue empty is the most persuasive timestamp on the page.
