About this block

Simple Rate Table opens with a heading and a one-sentence base price statement, then presents a three-column table. The header row labels the columns "Metric", "Included each month", and "Then". Each body row names one billable metric in the first column, states the monthly allowance in the second, and shows the overage rate right-aligned in the third. A small footnote beneath the table notes when usage resets and how to set a hard spending cap.

The heading copy and the footnote are plain text you can rewrite freely. The table is driven by a data array, so adding or removing rows requires only editing that list. The three columns are fixed, but each cell in the metric, allowance, and overage positions accepts any string, so the block fits any per-unit billing model.

When to use

Reach for this block when your product charges a flat base fee and then bills usage above a threshold. An online education platform selling course seats, video minutes, or certificate exports benefits from this format because students can see exactly what they get before extra charges kick in and exactly what those charges are. It is more focused than a full feature matrix, which is the right choice when plans differ in features rather than allowances.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing Pro page:

Before

• A hero section to establish the product and set expectations before cost details appear
• A features section so readers understand what the allowances unlock before seeing the numbers

After

• A FAQs section to address common billing questions that the table raises but does not answer
• A CTAs section to convert readers who are satisfied with the rates

What you can display

Any service that charges by usage volume fits naturally in this table. A few specific fits for an education platform:

• Course enrollments and completions. List enrolled learners as the included allowance and show the per-learner overage so teams can budget for growth cohorts.
• Video or content minutes. Map each content type to its own row so instructors see at a glance how recorded lectures and live sessions are metered differently.
• Certificate or export credits. Show how many certificates or report exports ship with the base plan, then the per-unit cost beyond that, so administrators can plan ahead for graduation cycles.

Tip: keep the metric names short enough to read in a single line at mobile widths so the three columns stay balanced without wrapping.
