About this block

Shipping Velocity Stats argues that cadence compounds. One bordered panel pairs a velocity manifesto and three stats, releases per year, median gap, roadmap hit rate, with a small sparkline panel charting releases per month over a year, sourced honestly from the public changelog, patches included. The caption names the counting rules so the number survives scrutiny.

The stats are one array and the sparkline is a points string. The median gap is the most persuasive figure, averages hide droughts while a median promises rhythm. The roadmap hit rate connects this block to your roadmap section, where the same number should appear.

When to use

Reach for this block when buyers fear vendor stagnation, common when you sell against incumbents whose changelogs are quarterly apologies. It aggregates what version-timeline-horizontal shows anecdotally, and the pair makes a complete momentum argument, the line for feel, the stats for proof.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing Pro page:

Before

• Changelog entries giving the velocity its concrete examples

After

• Roadmap sections where the hit rate gets its future test
• CTAs for buyers convinced the product will outgrow its gaps

What you can display

One strong use is annual release velocity with honest counting rules. Other velocity stories:

• Support velocity. Tickets resolved and median reply trends for a service quality page.
• Content velocity. Posts, templates, and guides shipped for a resources brand.
• Integration velocity. New connections added per quarter for a platform racing to coverage.

Tip: name the counting rules in the caption, patches included is a small honesty that makes 312 believable.
