About this block

Operating Principles Grid states six working rules with the discipline most values pages skip, every card ends with what the principle cost, in dollars, velocity, or uncomfortable threads. The lede sets the bar, a principle that costs nothing is a slogan, and the cards then have to clear it.

Principles are one array of title, practice, cost rows, with the cost line italic and pinned to the card footer.

When to use

Reach for this block on about pages for companies whose operating style is the brand, and on careers pages where candidates want the real rules. It differs from the prose principles blocks in this collection by being scannable, six cards over six paragraphs.

A natural flow around it on a Marketing Pro page:

Before

• About sections telling the founding story these rules emerged from

After

• Team showing who lives by them
• Careers for the reader who wants in

What you can display

One strong use is your six real rules with their real costs. Other grids:

• Engineering principles. How you build, with the tradeoffs named.
• Support principles. Response rules and what they cost to keep.
• Pricing principles. The commitments behind the number.

Tip: if you cannot name what a principle cost, it has not been tested yet, write the one that has.
